About ZingLists

ZingLists was created and is run by Light Year Software, LLC, a small development company located in Columbus, OH. Light Year's mission is to provide simple, useful software that helps you to more efficiently finish the task at hand. ZingLists embodies this perfectly: it keeps track of when and how you have to do something, so you can forget about it and do something else.

ZingLists uses the Ruby on Rails web framework. Steve, our main developer, had essentially sworn off doing any more web application work until he learned about Rails. The hype is well deserved. Instead of dealing with the minutiae of processing forms, we can spend our time making the site better by streamlining what's here and adding new features.

ZingLists uses several of the icons from the excellent “Silk” icon set by Mark James. Thanks, Mark!
